Our
Philosophy |
|
|
Belief. .
. We believe in the worth of each child, regardless of age,
sex, race, or religion and said child is entitled to a pain
free, loving environment in which he/she feels safe and
maximizes his/her potential as a member of a family unit, to
love life to its fullest, and receive loving support through
the final days of his/her life on earth.
Respect. . . We are committed to fostering the
enrichment of life and respecting the unique needs of each
child and family in death. We will provide a child/family
centered model of care that reflects this respect toward all cultures
and belief systems.
Alliance. . . We value and seek alliance with
existing resources and strive to strengthen and enhance the comprehensive
care, support and education available to dying children, their
families, health care professionals and the caring community
at large.
We honor the participation of those parents who have lost
children to death and will exhibit strong leadership qualities
and compassion to other children and parents in need. |
